BS Art Education Kutztown University 1973, Continuing Education Art History, University of Delaware.  Pat has 34 years of experience instructing youth and adults in art history and art education.  She has taught in schools and community organizations and served as the District Chairperson for Art and in the Teacher Mentor Program in Christiana School District.  Pat also works as a professional artist and has exhibited her paintings in various regional art shows.

      My earliest childhood memories contain evidence of my deep love of Art and its creative processes.  It is no surprise that Art was the only career path that I ever considered.

     A native of Easton Pennsylvania, I graduated from Kutztown University with a BS degree in Art Education.  In 1973 I relocated to Wilmington Delaware, where I began a 34 year career teaching Art in the public schools.

     Upon retiring, I realized that I still loved the teaching process, and have been teaching part time ever since.

      In 2003 I accompanied a group of artists to Ireland for a two week painting trip.  It was then that I grew eager to get back to my own work.

     My work consists primarily of Watercolors.  I fell in love with the medium in college and have continued to work with it throughout my adult life.  I often incorporate my love of drawing into my work by choosing subjects containing architectural elements.  Most recently I have been exploring a wider variety of subject matter.  Nature still provides me with my primary inspiration.

     Teaching and raising three wonderful children consumed most of my time during the 80’s and 90’s but now with more time, I am excited to return to my core passion………..Painting
